Phil Webb - Photographic Art

Having worked almost a lifetime in engineering and the corporate world I have found some spiritual oasis in the art that is photography. It has allowed me to escape the moment, and go somewhere I never expected to be taken, a refuge in some sense.

We need these moments of escape to get perspective and a moment of inspiration to keep going and realise that all of us, have an inner world and expressive value.

I hope you find some artwork that connects with you and provides some pleasure and expression.

Escape through Art

Moments of escape and expression can be made possible through art forms - hand-drawn images, written words, photographs, dance, acting, and of course music. 

I consider this the most useful purpose of art in one’s life, whether in creating or display in your environment. Without art we stay stuck in our thoughts, and the beauty that the world offers disappears into the abyss of our imaginations. Art brings us back and helps us see that beauty again and be thankful that we’re alive.

Without art, life would be spent striving for what we want and in the service of others, art helps remind us that we can express ourselves and indulge in a moment.

The point is not what you do but how you express yourself and allows us to escape into that manifestation of art – the photographic art produced here is my expression, I hope it conveys some meaning and captures your imagination too. I aim to provide an artistic impression of the world around us and abstract images that connect with you.

Hopefully the art is an escape for everybody who comes into contact with it, and that is one of the best forms of life-changing usefulness I can think of.
